Tuesday, 23 June 2009 03:10
Great News - there is an insert on Supercycling on SS6 23 June between 19h00 and 20h00.
Plans for our new event Albert Falls - Nagle Dam- Inanda Dam - Blue Lagoon Durban are very much up to speed. This 3 day stage race will be held on the three days before The Dusi Mfula -ensuring that riders could make it a back to back 5 day stage race!
The 3 days stage race will be capped at 100 teams for the first year. Entries will be opened to Founding Fellows (those riders who rode the inaugural Dusi Mfula) and then to riders who have ridden the Dusi Mfula. If there are any places left open we will then open entries to the public.on a first come first served basis - we are under pressure to open entries, but can only do this in the first week of July - so please bear with us.
We are finalising dates, entry fees and sponsorship and will update this space as soon as we can.

Single Track
Wednesday, 17 June 2009 04:07
Dear Ray, GI and team,
Thanks for a great event. The single track on day one is what brings me back every year, there is simply nothing quite like riding km upon km of natural un-manicured single track. The change in the route on day two was much appreciated. We previously went through the bum of Durban, which was not the best view of the city. This year I would say that we went through the navel (my partner spent most of the morning looking for the blue fluff that normally collects in a navel). The amount of cutting / slashing that it took to get us to Durban and avoid the dump yards was certainly appreciated. Thanks.
Ant Jarvie
