By Wynand de Villiers editor of Cycling News
An unparalleled mountain biking experience awaits 700 intrepid explorers in the fifth edition of the Unlimited Dusi Mfula on 5 and 6 June.
The Dusi Mfula constitutes mountain-biking’s version of the epic sporting journey between Pietermaritzburg and Durban that is also undertaken by thousands of runners in the Comrades and paddlers in the Dusi Canoe Marathon annually.
We are receiving a number of calls to asking if entries are still available. We have increased the cap from 300 pairs to 400 pairs and are filling up very fast. Please enter soon to avoid disappointment. Once the cap has been reached we will start a waiting list - riders on the starting list will have first preference in 2011.
Rider details can be changed once you have entered.
Off to Ponta de Malongane today to research a magic new event - behind the dunes to Santa Maria (thro the elephant park). Lodge at Santa Maria, rubber ducky up and down canals, ferry to Inhaca, explore Inhaca, back to Santa Maria, along the beach to Malongane and then home.
We will probably be doing a route tester in a few months - 50 riders or so - preference will go to The Unlimited Dusi Mfula 2010 entrants.
See ya'll next Wednesday - in the meantime please enjoy emails, bosses, computers, smelly breathed CEO's, office environment etc.

Take a look at the video of the massive storm we experienced in Durban last night on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/DusiMfula/122329258010 The live weather that we have on our homepage is our own weather station linked live to our website. We will use this on the route during the event itself.
