1. This event is run under the auspices of CSA Mountain Bike Association

2. Online entries are available on the official website www.dusimfula.co.za – all pre-entries will receive an email confirming their entry to the event.

3. The R3630.00 entry fee per team includes the tented accommodation for the overnight stop at Msinsi at Inanda Dam on Saturday night and includes a hearty lunch dinner and breakfast as well as resort entry fee, insurance and stunning evening’s entertainment. The entry fee of R3165.00 does not include dinner, tented accommodation, and breakfast.

4. NO HELMET NO RIDE! Headgear MUST BE SECURED TIGHTLY throughout the race

5. A map of the route is available on the website - it is the responsibility of the entrants to familiarize themselves with the route.

6. The event is endorsed by the Amakhosi of the communities along the route

7. This is a team event made up of 2 members. The two team riders must stay within a 2 minute time gap or they will be disqualified

8. Entrants must complete the course entirely under their own power.

9. An additional late entry fee of R250 per rider will be charged if anyone enters after the 30 May 2010

10. Entries close after the first 300 pairs entries received.

11. Any changes to entries after the 600 rider cap is reached will be at an admin fee of R200.

12. Should the race be cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the organizers the entry fee shall not be refunded.

13. Participants who fail to reach the official cut off points within allocated times will be picked up by the Support vehicles. (See website for more information)

14. No children under the age of 16 years may enter the event.

15. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL - Results will be placed on the race website

16. Failure to comply with any of the rules may result in disqualification.

17. All cyclists will be awarded medals on finishing the event in Durban.

18. Several Water points will be strategically placed along the route (See website for more information)

19. Registration will take place in Durban, Johannesburg and at the start of the race.

20. Prize Giving will take place at the finish area immediately after the race

WAIVER:

Participants in the Dusi Mfula ("the Event") acknowledge that although all precautions have been taken by the organizing body to ensure the safety of all participants, there may be dangers inherent in participation in the Event and activities related thereto. Participants voluntarily assume the risks of attendance at and participation in the Event and hereby waive all claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in relation to the Event or otherwise against any parties, including but not limited to the organizing body, the sponsors, the advertisers, any local authority and/or directors, employees, suppliers and assistants of these parties, including any individual, official, marshal or agent ("the Parties"). Participants hereby irrevocably indemnify and hold harmless the Parties against any liability and claims of any nature whatsoever and however arising (whether directly or indirectly caused and whether arising from negligence, albeit gross, or from the participation or involvement in or passage to or from the Event or otherwise) including but not limited to liability for delay, inconvenience, accident, death, injury, illness to their person, or loss or damage to property or costs and expenses sustained, incurred or put to by Participants.
